For Photographers

I have over 40 years in the photography industry in the NYC/Long Island area, specializing in Pet Photography for the last 22 years.

Mentoring programs are individually customized. Offering sessions ‘one on one’ online or in person in the NYC/Long Island area. Group mentoring is also available. I offer weekly, monthly, short term and long-term programs.

My educating experience includes teaching photography at:

  • The Community Alternative High School, Long Beach, NY

I have been a presenter at:

  • Professional Photographers of NY (PPGNY) seminar series,
  • Photographer’s FOCUS Conference in Washington DC,
  • Pet Photographers Virtual Conference 2023
    (The Pet Photographers Club)

  • Presentations to various camera clubs.

I have been interviewed about the business of photography the following photography industry focused podcasts:

Articles about my work and business have appeared in newspapers, magazines, and in interviews on radio and television.

I run several groups on Facebook, all related to running a photography business. My social media following is currently over 50,000.

My style is to customize the curriculum for each individual person based on their needs, their wants, their experience, their equipment, their knowledge, their skill level, and of course what expertise I can bring to the table. The best thing is if we could talk for a few minutes on the phone and I could find out what your needs are and how I can help you and then we can talk about whether that’s going to work for us. I’m happy to answer any questions about this and/or provide my qualifications as well as former student’s testimonials/reviews.

Some things to ponder…

A goal without a plan is just a dream.

Long term success does not happen by accident.

It takes years to become an “overnight sensation”.

Keep an open mind, but not so open that your brains fall out.

To run a successful photography business, you must be a businessperson first, a photographer second.
